It’s Earth Day! Come out to Baltimore Woods for a fun and educational event including face painting, a reptile show starring turtles, outdoor nature games, and upcycling crafts to transform garbage into treasure! Come explore our Trail of Beauty, a self-guided trail trimmed with inspirational quotes. Guided hikes will be offered at two levels: families with older children can hike the Valley Trail while families with younger children can explore more flat terrain. Information tables will be set up with various nature conservation themes. Learn how to Save the Rain at Onondaga County's interactive exhibit. Become more familiar with solar energy and the importance of bee populations. The CNY Land Trust will also be on hand to showcase their 40 land trust properties located throughout CNY. The Habitat Gardening Club of CNY will give information on how to create native plant communities in your own backyard garden that are beneficial to the ecosystem, and there will also be a special, live performance of Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax!

The event is free to the community and there is no charge for parking.
